Assistant fashion designer Internship
MonaLizabeth is looking for an assistant who will work closely to the designer.
Responsibilities Included:
-Creating and developing artwork, colour pallet and mood boards for upcoming womenswear collections consistent with the brands positioning.
-Undertake research to formulate design concepts.
-Create, prepare and deliver product presentations and designs. Work closely with the team to determine style, materials, colour to develop a successful product.
-Operating within the given design calendar timeline.
-Creating patterns and toiles which meet the design and technical requirements within the allocated timeframes, work and making sure this is done accurately and to the highest standard
-Create patterns and toiles for more complex designs, coming up with new suggestions and creative ideas on how new products can be developed
-Creating first patterns/mocks with designers and develop through to finished sample
-Develop and manage Block Library, update and amend blocks as required
-Attend fitting sessions when needed to assist technical team with fit issues
-Problem solve with any technical/production issues with development teams
Skills And Experience You Will Need:
-Degree in fashion design on any equivalent.
-Strong commercial handwriting and understanding of the Brand and Customer.
-Computer Skills: Photoshop, Adobe, Illustrator
-Self-motivated
-Ability to work under stress.
-Enthusiastic
-Fashion forward
-Proven experience as a pattern cutter, grader and marker
-An understanding of the manufacturing process from start to finish
-Have worked previously with both knits and woven
Experience of working with fabrics, fusing and accessories
-A strong understanding of fit, movement, body proportion and anatomy with a good eye for proportion, attention to detail and quality of garments
-sewing skills
-Able to pattern cut to design specifications and able to develop samples from the initial concept stage to base size approval
-The ability to flex between working alone and in a team environment
-Always motivated to improve the product at every stage.

We are expanding our Design Team and is looking for a highly creative and inspiring individual.
As a Creative Designer you will have a strategic approach and opportunity and come up with ideas working close to the designer and produce everything from branding, digital, advertising, newsletters, DM, magazine design, guides and infographics, web design etc.

-design across a wide variety of channels including print, digital and integrated campaigns
-work closely with the designer to create exciting, compelling and innovative designs by pushing the boundaries and thinking 'outside of the box'

Essential Skills:
-Proven experience in Graphic Design.

-Work closely with other team members to create exciting, compelling and innovative designs.
-Great communication skills and confident presenting your ideas in front of stakeholders.
-A portfolio presenting creative ideas and designs and experience in creating videos would be of great advantage.
-Understanding of web design.
